Welcome to an exploration of the beauty of your life story

I am a psychotherapist: more specifically, a psychologist and a psychoanalyst. I have seen hundreds and hundreds of patients over the course of my forty plus year career. Every one of them has had a story to tell, a story that despite its often gut-wrenching pain is indeed beautiful, both in its uniqueness and its complexity. It is a story that the person may never have dared to tell before finding the safety of my office, perhaps feeling too inconsequential or guilty or ashamed.

Keeping silent and shut down over the years, the person often develops symptoms such as depression, anxiety, or obsessions, or becomes involved in various addictive activities, or in one dissatisfying relationship after another. These are not chance happenings. They occur because the person is driven to repeat past experiences in the present. They occur because the person has not previously been listened to or heard. They occur because the person has not been given the time or space to explore his or her own mind within the safety and comfort of a therapeutic relationship.

If you are someone who feels caught in what seems like never ending cycles of self-destructive behavior; if you feel sad or empty or isolated; if you have experienced a trauma in your past or present life, please contact me. Together we will work through your pain. Together we will find the beauty in your story.
